We love to use this book in our classrooms during our emotions unit to talk about big feelings and how they sometimes erupt like a volcano. Instructions
Read the book “Pretend I’m A Volcano” together.
Download and print the “Pretend I’m A Volcano” activity sheet.
Talk about the examples in the book that made their lava rise and what they did to bring it back down.
Talk about other things that might make your lava rise and what you can do to bring it down.
Color the volcano. Then have your child give you an example of what makes their lava rise and what brings it down, and write it in the box.
