My Little Emotions Guided Reader
Learning about emotions is a big deal for preschoolers—it helps them understand what they’re feeling and how to handle those feelings in a healthy way. At this age, kids are just starting to figure out big emotions like anger, sadness, or excitement, and they don’t always have the words to explain what’s going on. We’ve created My Little Emotions guided reader to help you teach your child about their emotions. You can find it in our shop, and keep reading to see how to use it!
You will need:
My Little Emotions Guided Reader (find it here!)
Crayons or markers
Scissors
Stapler
Instructions:
Download and print the My Little Emotions Guided Reader.
Cut out the pages, and staple them together.
Read through the pages with your child. Discuss what each emotion means, and what makes them feel that way. Help them think of pictures to draw or words to write to describe each emotion and what they can do when they feel that way.
Review the book together often! This helps your child remember what they learned.
