Stretchy, Fluffy, Homemade Dough

For my kids, it's ALL about the hands on activities. They absolutely love anything that has to do with playdough, building, shaping, etc. I was recently introduced to this new kind of dough to play with and it was a total hit! It's kind of a mix between moon sand and silly putty, so it's different and fun! And the best part? It’s two ingredients that you’ll definitely already have!

What You'll Need:

  • Cornstarch

  • Conditioner

Instructions:

  1. Pour some conditioner into a bowl.

  2. Add some cornstarch and STIR.

  3. Continue adding a little bit of cornstarch at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  4. PLAY.

Activity Notes:

  • Give your kids ideas of things to build! A snowman, a pizza, a snake, etc.

  • Help them make letters out of the dough! It would be a really fun and easy way to introduce a new letter sound.

  • Add food coloring to make it more vibrant and fun!

  • Have your kids use play-doh scissors to help them practice holding their scissors the right way.

  • Keep your dough in a sealed container and use it again later! Ours got a little dry, but adding a little conditioner moistened it
