Our Favorite Holiday Gifts for Preschoolers

Choosing toys for preschoolers can feel overwhelming. Walk into any toy store and you’ll find shelves filled with toys that light up, make sounds, and promise to teach children letters and numbers. But when it comes to preschoolers, some of the best toys are actually the simplest ones.

Here are some of our favorite holiday gifts for preschoolers we’ve found recently. They’re perfect for gift giving this holiday season!

We love love love these giant floor puzzles from Melissa and Doug. They come in fun shapes and themes, including this fire truck, space, dinosaurs, and ocean to name a few. Find this one here!

This stamp set is so fun! Kids love to use the ink pads, and even though it can get a little messy, it is worth it for the hours of playtime we get from these. Find it here!

Every preschooler needs a few good puppets to play with. They’re perfect for imaginative play and building social skills. We like this set!

Puppet Theater

And if you have the room, this puppet theater is a great addition! It can be used in so many different ways, but its great to pair with the above puppet set for hours of fun! Check it out here.

This appears to be a super simple toy, but we use these so many different ways! We practice sorting, counting, and grouping. We also love to use these with playdough and other sensory bin materials! Find them here.

Small Animals

You can’t go wrong with a tub of small animals for playtime. We love to add these with some blocks and see what creative things our preschoolers can build. Our favorites are these Safari Limited Tubes, like this one.

Post it Notes

Kids. Love. Post it Notes. They go crazy for them. Seriously one of the best gifts my kids ever got! Grab a big pack like this one, pair it with some pens or markers, and they’ll be busy for hours.

We hope you found something useful (and fun!) from this list of gift ideas for preschoolers. Remember, sometimes simple really is better when it comes to gifting for the little ones in your life!
