Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Today we have a super easy, low-prep Christmas Scavenger Hunt activity for you! This is so simple to print and go, and it is perfect to use during December or for a class Christmas party. You can find your own copy in our shop, and we hope you love it as much as we do!
You will need:
Printable Christmas Scavenger hunt sheet and cards (find them here!)
Tape or sticky tack for hiding the cards
A pencil, crayon, or marker for marking the recording sheet
A clipboard
How to play:
Download and print the Christmas Scavenger Hunt. The download come with several options. You can use the full sheet to record what you find, or print of the quarter sheets and cut them if you’re playing with a larger group. You can also print off the cards in the full sheet version, or there is a sheet with just the pictures you can cut out and hide to make it more challenging to find.
Hide the Christmas object cards around the room. You can make this as easy or as difficult as you’d like! Give each child a clipboard, a writing utensil, and a recording sheet and let them go around and find the matching pictures and mark them off.
Why a scavenger hunt?
Scavenger hunts are great activities for preschoolers. While they’re looking for the matching objects, they are building their fine motor skills, practicing visual discrimination and matching skills, and learning new vocabulary. Plus, we love any activity that gets kids up and moving around!
