Hidden Name Art

If you’re looking for a fun and simple way to help your child practice writing their name, we have the perfect project! Our Hidden Name Art is a great way to get some name writing practice in while having fun! Keep reading for all the details.

You will need:

  • Hidden Name Art printable page (find it here!)

  • Crayons (including a white one)

  • Watercolors (like these!)

Instructions:

  1. Download and print the Hidden Name Art page.

  2. Have your child write their name on the name line. You can do it in highlighter and have them trace it if the can’t do it independently. For extra practice, you can have them rainbow write their name using lots of different colors!

  3. Then have your child write their name with white crayon underneath the line.

  4. Use a little bit of water and wet the page where they wrote with white crayon.

  5. Use the watercolor paint to paint over the wet page and watch their name appear!

  6. You can use this activity with letters, numbers, or sight words, too!
