We made sure to use real photos to help children recognize actual facial expressions. This makes it easier for them to identify emotions in themselves and others and builds emotional awareness. It also helps supports social skills like empathy and communication.
Tracing the emotion word underneath each picture helps develop literacy and fine motor skills. Tracing helps develop fine motor control, letter recognition, and confidence with writing. It also teaches new vocabulary in a natural, engaging way.
