Dinosaur Process Art (free download!)

We love creating process art with preschoolers! And what could be better than combining process art AND dinosaurs? Preschoolers will love this easy and fun project, and you’ll love seeing their creativity. As an added bonus, you can practice some great fine motor skills with this project, too! Keep reading for all the details!

You will need:

  • Cardstock

Instructions:

  1. Let your child choose several colors of paint to drizzle on to their cardstock paper.

  2. Tear off a piece of plastic cling wrap. Bunch it up, and then use dabbing motions to spread the paint all over the paper. This creates the amazing texture that reminds us of dinosaur skin!

  3. Let the paint dry.

  4. Once dry, flip the paper over and trace the dinosaur template onto the back.

  5. Give your child scissors and let them cut out the dinosaur shape.

  6. Using a marker, add any details to your dinosaur that you’d like! We loved adding silly smiles to ours.
