Arctic Theme Science Activity for Preschoolers (free download!)

Learning about arctic animals is a great way to include science in your arctic or polar unit in preschool. We found this adorable book, Can We Really Help the Polar Bears? by Katie Daynes, that is perfect for an environmental science lesson. We created a free download that you can use during your lesson, too!

Directions:

  1. Read the book Can We Really Help the Polar Bears? together. Discuss together some of the ideas that the book lists about how we can help the polar bears (planting more trees, sharing car rides, switching things off).

  2. Download and print the free worksheet.

  3. Talk about something that you could do together to really help the polar bears, and write it down (or help them write it down if they can’t write quite yet) and draw a picture to match.
