Valentine's Day Guided Reader [free download]

Valentine’s Day is such an exciting holiday for little learners. They are so enthusiastic about sharing their love for their families, their friends, their pets, their teachers, their toys…everything! We’ve created a super simple and fun guided reader that you can use at home or in the classroom to talk about all the things they love! Guided readers are a great way to support emerging literacy skills, and use those fine motor muscles, too. Grab the free download below!

You will need:

Valentine’s Day guided reader (free download below!)
Crayons, colored pencils, or markers
Scissors
Stapler

Instructions:

Print out the Valentine’s Day guided reader.
Cut the pages in half and staple them together.
Have your little learner color the pictures.
Fill in the blank line on page 6 with something your child loves!
Using the dots under each word, help your little learner point to each word as you read them together. After a few times, they can try to read the predictive text all by themselves!
