Name Rainbow Writing (free download!)

Sometimes practicing writing can be boring or repetitive for children. Rainbow writing is one way to make practicing more fun and exciting, while still getting lots of repetition in. We love to do rainbow writing while we are practicing writing names. Keep reading for all the details you’ll need, and be sure to grab the free Name Rainbow Writing sheet download at the bottom of the post!

You will need:

  • Name Rainbow Writing sheet (free download below!)

  • Any writing utensil in a variety of colors (oil pastels, crayons, markers, colored pencils)

Instructions:

  1. Download and print the free Name Rainbow Writing sheet.

  2. If your child needs a template, write their name in pencil for them to trace.

  3. Have your child practice writing or tracing their name over and over in different colors to make a rainbow!

This is an easy and fun way to practice those kindergarten readiness skills that children need to have before they enter kindergarten!
