You will need:

Gingerbread cookie printables (free download below!)
Colored counting chips or buttons
Jumbo dice

Instructions:

Download the free gingerbread cookie printables. Print them out, and laminate them for durability if you’d like.
Show your child how to roll the die, then count how many dots. Add that many counters on to create the gingerbread man’s buttons!
You can make this activity harder by rolling two dice and adding the numbers together, or put a bunch of counters on the gingerbread man and practice subtracting them as you roll. There are so many ways to scaffold this activity!
