Easy Shape Activity for Preschoolers (and free download!)

Are you working on learning shapes with your preschooler? We have a super easy and fun activity for you today to help your little learner practice their shapes in a hands-on way! And we’ve created some free shape flashcards that you can download at the bottom of this post for even more practice!

You will need:

• Any shape puzzle (like this one or this one on Amazon!)

• Pipe cleaners (find some here!)

Instructions:

1. Take a shape piece from the puzzle and set it in front of your preschooler.

2. Ask them if they can make the same shape with the pipe cleaners!

3. Talk to them about the attributes of each shape. How many sides? How many corners?

This is a fun and hands-on way to practice shapes with your little learner!
