Easter Letter Sensory Bin

As we hop into the springtime spirit, we couldn't resist sharing a little of the Easter excitement that has taken center stage in our household – this adorable Easter letter sensory bin! If you're looking for creative and engaging activities for the kiddos, you're in for a treat (and no, it's not just chocolate eggs, although those are always a win too!). Keep reading for all the details!

You will need:

  • Shallow container (we used a cake pan, but you could use anything!)

  • Dyed rice (we found this adorable pre-made mix on Amazon here!)

  • Letter magnets (like these)

  • Optional: tweezers (we love this kind)

Instructions

  1. Pour the dyed rice into the shallow container.

  2. Choose out magnet letters to spell your child’s name plus some extra random letters and hide them in the rice.

  3. Give your child tweezers and have them dig to find the letters. Using the tweezers, place the letters in order to practice spelling their name. This works on strengthening those fine motor muscles!

  4. You can repeat this activity with other words, too! Sight words, sibling’s names, anything that your child would be interested in spelling.
