The space unit is one of my all-time favorite to teach to preschoolers! It is a topic that children get so excited about and is so engaging. Today on the blog we have a super simple but exciting art project that is perfect for the next time your little learners is studying space. Keep reading for all the fun details!

You will need:

  • Black construction paper (we like this brand)

  • Star stickers (we grabbed these and these)

  • White crayon

Instructions:

  1. We read a book about constellations and showed a few examples of what constellations looked like. We talked about how constellations are pictures in the sky made out of stars.

  2. Let your child use the white crayon to draw a picture.

  3. Add star stickers to make your constellation.

  4. Some children chose to put the star stickers on first, and then connect them with lines afterwards. Either way works!
