Nature Scavenger Hunt
Have you ever heard the saying, if your kids are in a bad mood, get them outside? I feel like no matter what kind of madness is going on in our house, if we can get the kids out in the sunshine, they are ALWAYS happier. Check out this fun and simple nature hunt activity that is sure to keep your kids happy and entertained, and be educational as well!
What you need:
Paper & Writing Utensils!
Instructions:
Help your child draw a couple of pictures of things they might see outside (i.e. grass, clouds, a dog, a dandy lion, a car, etc.)
Next to each item, draw a box!
Go on a little walk outside and search for their items. Every time they find something on the list, help them check the box next to the found item.
Activity Notes:
If your kids are younger, have them tell you what to draw and you can draw it for them (that's what I did for my 3-year-old!)
If it's a nasty day outside, try doing the same kind of activity, but inside!
Get your kids really excited and make some little binoculars out of toilet paper rolls for them to use on the hunt!
